THE FLASH: Michael Keaton In Talks To Reprise The Role Of Bruce Wayne For A ‘Multiverse’ Twist
It’s been twenty eight years since actor Michael Keaton paired with Tim Burton at the helm for Batman Returns – sequelizing their critical and commercial 1989 inaugural box office hit, Batman. Now it appears the Need For Speed and American Assassin actor may soon reprise his incarnation of Bruce Wayne for The Flash, according to Umberto Gonzalez at The Wrap.
DCU Fate Uncertain With Grahame-Smith Leaving THE FLASH
Word has it that things are in a little bit of upheaval at Warner Bros. where it’s being reported that Seth Grahame-Smith has left The Flash citing “creative differences”. BirthMoviesDeath reported the news along with word that The Conjuring 2 helmer James Wan may well leave Aquaman following his attachment nearly a year ago in the wake of the billion dollar success that was Furious Seven.
The updates come on the heels of the latest box office results of director Zack Snyder’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice which has grossed $860 million globally. Box office figures be damned, however, that didn’t slow down the mixed-bag of reviews that have reportedly thrown the studio off of its axis with Snyder already in progress with filming for the first of two Justice League films opening in 2017 and 2019.
The Flash, apart from its current TV run with a different actor, still has Ezra Miller cast in the title role with a date slated for March 16, 2018 as one of a current slate of titles outlining a cineverse based on DC Comics creations, while Aquaman is slated for the following June; Personally, should he leave Aquaman, I hope that gives him more breathing space to begin working on Mortal Kombat as one of many titles he’s currently attached to produce. That film should have already happened by now and it’s been WAY too long.
Check Out Some Pics From #SDCC2015!
The Comic-Con uproar has since fizzled from last weekend’s electricity over many of the gems that fans got to view and observe. Simultaneously, with the event being one of the biggest, it’s also something I currently don’t get to attend since distance is reigning factor in that regard, and for this, I was kindly met with an opportunity by independent filmmaker Mark Anthony Gadia, a friend in the area who managed to visit the event for a few days and was willing to snap a few detailed and up-close photos of a few of the booths and their various exhibits, namely Legendary’s Warcraft scenery, costumes on full display for several WB/DC Entertainment properties, a quick pic of Marvel’s Agent Carter series star, actress Peggy Atwell, and more.

THE FLASH Speeds Onto Television With A New Trailer
Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along. Barry’s latest obsession is a cutting edge particle accelerator, created by visionary physicist Harrison Wells and his S.T.A.R. Labs team, who claim that this invention will bring about unimaginable advancements in power and medicine. However, something goes horribly wrong during the public unveiling, and when the devastating explosion causes a freak storm, many lives are lost and Barry is struck by lightning. After nine months in a coma, Barry awakens to find his life has changed once again – the accident has given him the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion – and not everyone is using their new powers for good. In the months since the accident, the city has seen a sharp increase in missing people, unexplained deaths and other strange phenomena. Barry now has a renewed purpose – using his gift of speed to protect the innocent, while never giving up on his quest to solve his mother’s murder and clear his father’s name. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.
