Actor Djimon Hounsou is currently on track to appear in the February 2015 family adventure flick, Seventh Son, after a long, controversial shift in ownership between studios. Aside from this, the film is but one role in a small handful he’ll be expected for between now and the next few years, which also lead to word from Variety that the actor is officially boarding Knights Of The Round Table with Guy Ritchie as director. Hounsou largely gets a lot of supporting and co-starring roles, even though his acting caliber certainly does him better justice. On its face, watching actor Jeff Bridges wax medieval with a British accent doesn’t sit well with me, even in the latest trailer for the long-awaited release of Nomad (2005) and Mongol (2007) helmer Sergei Bodrov‘s forthcoming fantasy actioner, Seventh Son. However, considering the epic series of set backs that followed with Academy Award-winning VFX house Rhythm And Hues Studios filed for bankruptcy during post production and Legendary Pictures landing the film at Universal Pictures for distribution after parting ways with Warner Bros., I’d say the actor’s methods are the least of my worries, lest I judge the film too soon. FAST AND FURIOUS 7 Adds Djimon Honsou, Drops Kurt Russell

Variety reports that actor Djimon Honsou will be starring in Fast And Furious 7. The word comes with simultaneous reports via First Showing that actor Kurt Russell would no longer appear in the film, and instead might be appearing in the next installment of the now-third trilogy of the Fast And Furious franchise. Honsou‘s casting announcement could be in direct-relation to earlier details interpreted by First Showing regarding Universal Pictures’ said casting for a villain to appear in Fast 7, who would be an even worse villain in Fast 8. The New International Trailer For THE SEVENTH SON Is Online

With award-winning filmmaker Sergey Bodrov‘s latest fantasy actioner, The Seventh Son, making its way to a panel hosted by Legendary Pictures at this summer’s events at San Diego Comic Con on July 20, a new international trailer has been unveiled for the U.K. release on October 25, 2013. Warner Bros. will be releasing the film on its new date, January 17, 2014, during MLK weekend. The release date news came back in June as per the announcement of several previously announced dates for October 2013 and February 2014, the result of VFX house, Rhythm & Hues, filing for bankruptcy back in February. The company was eventually acquired in March by an affiliate of Los Angeles-based visual effects company, Prana.
