Filmmakers Aaron McCann and Dominic Pearce knew exactly what they were doing in the years leading up to the completion of their latest SBS webseries-turned-feature debut, Top Knot Detective. It took a bit of effort and evolution, for sure, and indeed it’s paid off something fierce in terms of influence, having become one of the biggest and most well-received cult hits of our time.
Australian duo Dominic Pearce and Aaron McCann have spent the last several years stirring a ruckus with the gonzo comedic mockumentary, Top Knot Detective. Originally an episodic then edited swiftly in feature film fashion to present to audiences, the film has earned countless praise from festivals and niche sites around and thus, the good folks over at Third Window Films are ready to oblige with a Region Free Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD on March 18.
