It’s been four years since indie creator and industry stunt professional Vlad Rimburg put out a short. The good news is that he’s been making movies for twenty years now and it’s led to a fruitful career for him as a fight choreographer and stunt coordinator and occasional actor, and with a CV that deliniates a body of work attributed inherently to his love for action films, specifically that of the Hong Kong variety. His latest labor is out now with Police Force: First Mission, laced with an all-female line-up of stunt and action performers headed by Kaila Imada and Ashley Kim, and Caitlin Hutson and Amy Sturdivant. Who would’ve thought that a mash-up between “Last Christmas” by Wham! and “Your Song” by Elton John would inspire yet another experiment in bizzarely entertaining hard-hitting martial arts action shortfilm thrills by Vlad Rimburg?… The answer: Vlad Rimburg. The indie action and stunt favorite best known for shorts like the Osu trilogy and OG indie hits like Time and Owaremi, as well as a professional resume listing credits shared with the likes of Vin Diesel, Michael Jai White and Telugu star Prahbas to name a few, is back with a brand new action short, It’s A Little Bit Funny. This one takes its cues from the work of DJ Paolo Monti, and features a bloodily smirking Jordan Okubo along with Cameron Okubo, Shai DeBroux and many more. Enjoy!

Among today’s crop of action talent, some fans who follow the genre on the big and small screen will know who fight coordinator and choreographer Vlad Rimburg (Contour, Osu, Unlucky Stars, Lucifer) is, and the work he’s accomplished since picking up a camera at the turn of the century; Stunt performer and independent filmmaker Emmanuel Manzanares made a multiple references to the internet action favorite in our interview last week.
