Well Go USA is proudly releasing Jade, the new action thriller starring actress and martial artist Shaina West (The Woman King, Marvel’s Black Widow) and Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum). Stunt multi-hyphenate and filmmaker James Bamford (Man With No Past, The CW’s “Arrow”) directs from a script he co-wrote with screenwriters Lynn Colliar and Glenn Ennis. After her brother’s untimely and accidental death at her own hands, Jade swore she’d never pick up another gun. But when she unknowingly comes between powerful businessman “Tork” and her former gang leader in their urgent search for a valuable hard drive that could single-handedly take down Interpol, she may not have a choice. With the guidance of Reese, an old friend at Interpol, Jade must come to terms with all she’s faced in the past and present to safeguard her growing family’s future. This is a pretty big one for […]

The last time I was quoted in a press mailer for a Well Go USA Entertainment release was in 2021 for Japanese actioner, Hydra. You can imagine my jubilation on Monday when the PR launched for the company’s most recent offering, the Xu Haofeng and Xu Junfeng-directed 100 Yards, which is coming to Blu-Ray and DVD beginning February 18. This film is some of the most fun I’ve ever had watching and reviewing and I can’t wait for more people to see it if they haven’t. The film is actually already available on digital as we speak, but if you’re all about that physical media life, then Well Go USA has you covered. Hit the text and trailer below! In volatile 1920s Tianjin, a clandestine martial arts circle arose to maintain peace between rival martial arts schools in the ultra-stylish old-school kung fu martial arts epic 100 YARDS, debuting on […]
The Prosecutor opens in theaters on January 10 from Well Go USA. It is an exciting time to be a Donnie Yen fan – specifically for anyone who has kept up with the 61 year-old martial arts film star post-Wilson Yip’s Sha Po Lang, which hailed a resurgence of Hong Kong action full of gumption and bravado. It was the era of Flash Point as well, as Yen took to his team to showcase a performance of technique and dexterity that remains as fresh as it did to this day, building enough momentum for the actor to branch out a little further to other different roles on both sides of the lens. Fast forward to 2025 with the last few weeks signaling more local success with his latest project, The Prosecutor, which transitions to U.S. audiences this week from Well Go USA. Mixing action-packed crime thriller with courtroom procedural, The […]
Harbin is currently playing in select U.S. theaters from Well Go USA. Woo Min-ho is someone I’ve been slow to keep up with since I first caught wind of his 2015 political thriller, Inside Man. The good news is that some of his films aren’t intangible, so I can definitely catch them when I get time. As of late, that includes Harbin, Woo’s newest period assassin drama which chronicles the efforts of Korea’s rebellion against Japanese colonialism, led in part by Ahn Jung-geun, a lieutenant beleagured by a crisis of conscience following a fatal blunder at the cost of fighters, putting him under heavy scrutiny among ranks in the resistance. Intent on ameliorating his actions, it is then that Ahn makes the stern commitment to eliminate Japan’s first prime minister, Hirobumi Ito, as the empire looks to annex Korea. The effort entails evading Japanese soldiers while trekking between snowy rural […]
Woo Min-ho’s new period spy drama, Harbin, is set to make landfall in theaters on January 3 from Well Go USA. Harbin marks the return of lead actor Hyun Bin who also leads the cast in Kim Sung-hoon’s Joseon action horror, Rampant, which the label also released in 2018. In 1909, several years after Korea is forced into becoming a Japanese colony, freedom fighters plot the daring assassination of Japan’s prime minister during their quest for independence. Also starring are Park Jeong-min, Jeon Yeo-been, Jo Woo-jin, and Lee Dong-wook. Catch the trailer below!
Striking Rescue opens in select theaters on December 6 from Well Go USA Entertainment. Thai action star Tony Jaa continues to grow his cinematic workspace. Reasonably, this sort of feat might have seemed far from reachable in the earlier years of Jaa’s progression as a stuntman and a burgeoning film actor, at least until the breakout success of 2003’s Ong Bak with Jaa lending his success to trademark bone-crushing Muay Thai fight action, and stunt feats the likes of which have all but grabbed firmly the attention of action fans eyeing the same high caliber showmanship seen in Jackie Chan films. To add, Jaa’s image also garnered more of an upright appeal in the roles he played, something that even remained inescapable with his villainous turn in James Wan’s Furious Seven. For what it’s worth, that changes a little bit more this time with his most recent role showing us […]
After his wife and daughter are killed by assassins affiliated with a brutal organized crime syndicate, a Muay Thai fighter (Tony Jaa) goes on a furious rampage through the city on his quest to hunt down the killers—and make them pay. Invariably this is the stage now set for Striking Rescue, the newest from featured actor Tony Jaa whose action star acclaim gets another stake in the mainland following recent spells with titles like Detective Chinatown 3 and Kill Zone 2. The film also rejoins Jaa with the Planos-based Well Go USA in Texas who also released Kill Zone 2, as well as other Jaa-starrers S.P.L.: Paradox, and Jesse V. Johnson’s Triple Threat. Striking Rescue also stars Hong Junjia, Shi Yanneng, Philip Keung, and Chen Duoyi. Catch the official trailer below ahead of the film’s December 6 release!
Inspired by an actual legal case in Hong Kong, THE PROSECUTOR follows the story of a man who falsely pleads guilty to drug trafficking after being framed. Despite the confession, the veteran policeman-turned-prosecutor (Donnie Yen) handling the case is convinced of the man’s innocence and pursues his own investigation, risking both his career and his life to bring the real perpetrator to justice. …And just like that, so goes the official trailer for Donnie Yen’s newest action thriller, The Prosecutor. Yen directs from a script by Wong and joins a cast that also includes Julian Cheung, Michael Hui, Francis Ng, and Cheung Tin Fu. Yen also steers the action with Kenji Tanigaki and co-star Kang Yu, with folks in Hong Kong getting their eyes on this one on December 27 from Mandarin Motion Pictures, us out here can expect this hopeful banger to arrive on January 10 in theaters from […]
Screendaily’s Michael Rosser reports that action drama The Prosecutor will bow on January 10 in North America from Well Go USA. The news comes on the heels of the official trailer for the Donnie Yen-led flick ahead of its Hong Kong release on December 27. 100 Yards was screened and reviewed for the 48th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, upon virtual invitation. Well Go USA is releasing the film in theaters and on Digital on Friday, November 8. It’s been wild having to wait this long before the film markets picked up on something (or anything) attached to the name of author and filmmaker Xu Haofeng. The man best known for whipping out some of the most artful and concentrated martial arts features to hit screens for well over a decade was all but a blip after landing back on radar with 2015’s The Final Master, when trailers arose for his 2017 actioner, The Hidden Sword, followed by stills and posters in 2019 for “Shi Yan Juan Tian Ya.” Both incumbent period flicks deserved better rollouts they were never given for reasons unbeknownst to this critic, and so it remains to be seen if either of those movies will ever […]
Great news is abound for anyone fond of jidaigeki films and Japanese cinema in whole. That at certainly goes for director Yu Irie whose latest, Muromachi Outsiders, has just been snapped by Well Go USA for North America. Muromachi Outsiders is Irie, and based on the 2016 Shincho Bunko series of novels from multi-award winning author, Ryosuke Kakine. News of the acquisition comes just after Irie’s latest bit of ceremony at the Toyko International Film Festival where […]
The official trailer arrived this week for Bangkok Dog starring D.Y. Sao, Byron Bishop, and Sahajak Boonthanakit. The film previously screened for audiences this summer for the second edition of the Big Bad Film Fest upon which our site was one of the few graced with the chance to present a review for the new action adventure from burgeoning director Chaya Supanarat and producer Prachya Pinkaew, who is best known for directing hit 2003 Thai blockbuster, Ong Bak. After intercepting a shipment of drugs from Thailand and discovering five dead bodies amidst the illicit cargo, special agent Andrew Kang (D.Y. Sao) arrests the international drug cartel’s Los Angeles-based operative (Brian Le) and impersonates him to go deep undercover in the Bangkok criminal underworld. But as he works to gain the trust of higher-ups in the gang’s inner circle, the line between cop and criminal becomes increasingly blurred, leaving him—and his […]
Ladies and gets… you’re about to witness one of the sharpest, most diabolically entertaining and thrilling martial arts movie experiences of your life. It’s 100 Yards, the latest period action drama from co-directors Xu Haofeng and Xu Junfeng, and starring Jacky Heung and Andy On, and it finally has an official trailer with a theatrical U.S.release date set from Well Go USA. In volatile 1920s Tianjin, a mere decade after China’s last imperial dynasty was overthrown, a clandestine martial arts circle arose to deter crime and maintain peace between rival martial arts schools. But after a renowned master dies and names his apprentice—rather than his son—as his successor, he unwittingly kicks off a fierce power struggle that will bring the entire city to the brink of chaos. You’re welcome to read my review from its International Premiere at TIFF last year for obligatory feedback but I loved the shit out […]
