WOLF WARRIOR 2 Howls Later This Month In The UK With A New Box Set!
Give or take a few bucks, China’s box office earnings reportedly totaled up to $8.6 billion dollars since 2016. The tail end of that growth saw a rise of $2 billion dollars last year with action star Wu Jing’s Wolf Warrior 2 contributing a gross of $860 million dollars (ten times that of its predecessor).
Needless to say, a threequel is definitely happening an you can certainly expect this site along with others to keep an eye out. In the meantime, both the hit 2015 military actioner which saw Wu play a PLA sniper on a mission of redemption in the face of evil mercenaries invading China, and its sequel which saw our hero tackle a group of terrorists in a fictional South African territory, is heading for a cool new box set from Cine Asia UK.
China’s deadliest Special Forces operative, known as the Wolf Warrior (Wu Jing – Wolf Warrior, Call of Heroes, Kill Zone) is lying low. But when he crosses paths with a ruthless band of mercenaries led by a volatile and sadistic leader (Frank Grillo – Warrior, Captain America: Civil War), he must reaffirm his duty as a soldier and put an end to the gang’s reign of terror.
Fists, bullets, tanks and missiles will fly in this tour de force of action filmmaking, all culminating in a climactic battle between the highly skilled Wolf Warrior and the brutal mercenary leader.
Written and directed by Wu Jing and co-starring Celina Jade (TV’s Arrow, Skin Trade) Wolf Warrior II brings a masterful adrenaline rush with action co-ordination from the veteran Hollywood stunt team behind John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Captain America: Civil War.
Wolf Warrior II is released on Limited Edition Blu-ray, DVD, DVD boxset (with Wolf Warrior co-starring Scott Adkins) and Digital Download from 29th January 2018.

XXX4, WOLF WARRIOR 2, Others Round Out Agenda For New Film Firm, THE H COLLECTIVE
Plans for the next installment of the Vin Diesel-led xXx action film franchise are already being cooked after winning big globally earlier this year $346 million dollars with xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage at Paramount. The creative details remain pending but its confirmation otherwise comes in part with the larger initiative hailed by the launch of new film production and financing firm, The H Collective.
As The Wrap reports, veteran producers Sid Ganis, Nancy Hult Ganis, Mark Johnson, Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are shepherding the new company with the new xXx as the first of a raft of titles to produce, market and distribute. The fledgeling company will finance the pic with Roth and Kirschenbaum producing and with all company rights acquired – excluding TV and U.S. theme park rights, as well as domestic distribution rights to select content.
The firm finance an average of four films annually through 2021 with varying budgets and categories, and has an exclusive partnership with Beijing Culture platforming its North and South American rights to three films for which it will handle distribution and marketing, namely including Wu Jing’s Wolf Warrior 2 which opens in China next month, as well as Ding Sheng’s A Better Tomorrow 4 and Xiao Yang’s upcoming fantasy romance adventure, Hanson And The Beast.
“I’m extremely happy to be part of The H Collective family from the beginning,” Ganis said in a statement. “The company has a great understanding of motion picture investment and an eye for quality productions.”
Roth added, “In today’s Hollywood, it requires strong partners to produce and finance such big-budget movies as the ‘xXx’ series, and The H Collective is a welcome and exciting new company that we look forward to working with.”
“The H Collective has proposed a very clever and original model for making films of all sizes and shapes, and at all price levels,” Johnson said. “We are excited with the challenge of making diverse and arresting films for today’s global audience.”
Further included in The H Collective’s package are the following:
• Three Sisters — Ruby Rose (“XXx: Return of Xander Cage”) stars in this action comedy with Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) directing a script by Derek Haas (“Wanted”). Roth and Kirschnbuam will produce
• A Children’s Song — When two students competing for a music scholarship discover that their original compositions are based on a single family song, both are determined to prove ownership, leading them to uncover the long lost true origin of the melody: a story of salvation and hope when over 20,000 Jews immigrated to Shanghai during WWII. The film will be produced by Sid Ganis and Nancy Hult Ganis.
• Raven Road — After a friend dies in mysterious circumstances on a deserted stretch of road made famous by urban legend, a group of investigate the myth. Brian Anderson scripted the horror-thriller, which Johnson will produce.

Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad“) is attached to star, and Johnson will produce.
The Newest Trailer For WOLF WARRIOR 2 Ensues In An All-Out Tank War
With the first having become a box office hit, the best and obvious direction was a sequel with what now lies ahead for the upcoming release of Wu Jing action thriller, Wolf Warrior 2. Wu stars and directs with a story that sees him reprising his role as a maverick-minded sharpshooter swept once again into battle in a wartorn village in Africa between Government and rebel forces.
Wu Jing Reports For Duty In The New WOLF WARRIOR 2 Trailer
Action star and actor Wu Jing’s Wolf Warrior was a box office hit in 2015. Going forward, it was anyone’s guess what a sequel would entail until it was made clear early last year that a follow-up would come packaged with some major Hollywood muscle.
That element fashions itself accordingly in the wake of our first official full trailer for Wolf Warrior 2 with Wu front and centers as he faces off with more enemies in a fictitious war-torn African setting. Newly added are Wu’s Legendary Assassin cohort Celina Jade, as well as Kingdom series star and Captain America 2 & 3 co-star, actor Frank Grillo, actors Han Geng and Gang Wu.
Rounding out the cast is, well… a montage of gun battles, explosions, close-ups, more tanks, even more tanks, slo-mo bullet animation, AC/DC, Wu Jing kicking ass and chewing out a few English words, intense stare-downs, hugging, and just a little bit of propaganda to bookend. This trailer, for the most part, sells it all in spades.
Check it out ahead of its July 28 release!
