The reviews may be mixed, but director Jonathan Liebesman‘s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was still a box office success last month while neck-and-neck with Guardians Of The Galaxy. As such, producer Michael Bay is now spearheading production of the sequel for its June 3, 2016 release, with some possible additional laurels that could invite other characters from the original TV series.
In the meantime, the current film is getting an IMAX theatrical one-week re-run beginning September 12.
