Michael Keaton (American Assassin), Maggie Q (Divergent franchsie), and Samuel L. Jackson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard) will star in The Asset for Millennium Media (The Expendables franchise).
Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Foreigner) will direct a tale centered on Keaton and Q in the respective roles of Rembrandt and Anna – the world’s two foremost assassins. Their mysterious past reluctantly unites on a mission in Vietnam with Anna bent on finding the killer of her mentor, Moody – to be played by Jackson.
Millennium’s Jeffrey Greenstein said, “The Asset is the whole package, and we are excited to bring Richard Wenk’s masterful, muscular script to life with the all-star talent of Michael, Samuel, and Maggie. Having a great director like Martin Campbell at the helm will make all the difference in turning this into a big, stylish, and action-packed thrill ride.”
Millennium is on deck with world sales at AFM with cameras set to role January 8, 2020 in London, Bucharest, and DaNang, Vietnam. Jackson is also slated to appear in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, and at the AFI Fest before that with George Nolfi’s The Banker for Apple TV+. (DEADLINE)
