THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS: Charlize Theron Lets Loose The Anarchy In The New Extended Trailer

If you’ve developed a knack for putting certain pieces together, you might already be able to assemble what happens in a possible key moment that takes place between recent promo footage and Thursday’s newest trailer for The Fate Of The Furious. It’s a major thing and completely understandable, though it’s kind of funny that the sort of short-term memory and lack of attention to detail is the kind of thing the PR people are targeting, and if that’s the case then time will tell how that goes for future movies.

So, yeah. I’m a little weary but there’s nothing wrong with helping present it to onlookers who otherwise feel curious or simply feed off of the hype and fandom and I doubt the caution will put a dent in Universal Pictures’s pocket as we’re coming off of a billion dollar box office grab from its predecessor as one of the the most successful film franchises in movie history. The film opens in the span of several days throughout Europe leading up to its U.S. premiere and release on April 14 and nonetheless promises nothing short of an epic global tour of vehicular calamity, layered with family drama and suspenseful stunts with a villain that not only contributes to the higher stakes of our cast, but does so in a way that still maintains an interesting adherence to the overall story of the now eight-film saga.

SYNOPSIS:

Now that Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.

The newest international trailer is online with an extensive focus on the explosive tale at hand. Expect falling cars en masse, more flying cars, Christopher Bridges happily in his own tank and high-speed chases on ice with Dwayne Johnson wrestling a torpedo…
Yes. Wrestling. A goddamn. Torpedo. And hopefully this doesn’t spoil you too much.
