THE FURIOUS Clip: Xie Miao Stops At Nothing To Rescue His Daughter
One of the biggest movies of 2025 is making its World Premiere at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival with The Furious. Debut-directed by Kenji Tanigaki, the film stars a powerhouse line-up that includes Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Brian Le, Joey Iwanaga, and Yayan Ruhian.
In a small Southeast Asian country, skilled martial artist Wang Wei’s daughter Rainy is abducted by a child trafficking ring. Wang Wei sets out on a rampage, confronting both the corrupt police and the criminals, determined to rescue his kidnapped daughter. In the process, he encounters Navin, a journalist tirelessly trying to solve his wife’s disappearance. Together, the two unleash their formidable combat skills, fighting their way through dangerous obstacles and manage to unravel crucial clues and successfully rescue Rainy and a group of innocent children, dismantling the notorious human trafficking syndicate and bringing justice to the exploited and vulnerable.
The Furious also stars Sahajak Boonthanakit, Jeeja Yanin, and Enyou Yang, from a script by Frank Hui, Lei Zhilong, Mak Tin Shu, and Shum Kwan-Sin. The film hails from Edko Films (Cold War franchise, Rise Of The Legend) and international sales firm XYZ Films (The Raid franchise, Havoc), and features action sequences by Kensuke Sonomura (Hydra, Bad City, Baby Assassins trilogy).
