The King Returns: TULSA KING Season 4 Locks in October Release Date and Drops First Teaser
The streets of Oklahoma are about to get bloody once again. Paramount+ has officially announced that Taylor Sheridan’s smash-hit crime drama, Tulsa King, will return for its highly anticipated Season 4 on Friday, October 16, 2026. Sylvester Stallone is back in the sharp suits of Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and if the newly released first teaser trailer is any indication, his grip on the Tulsa underworld is facing its most violent challenge yet.
“It’s a dirty business,” Stallone’s Dwight warns in the gun-toting teaser. “And everyone gets a little stained.”
Following the explosive, status-quo-shattering events of Season 3, the upcoming 10-episode season finds Dwight fighting on multiple fronts. According to the official logline from Paramount+, Dwight is attempting to fully legitimize his burgeoning criminal empire while protecting his crew from an onslaught of corrupt politicians, dangerous new syndicates, and a devastating personal loss.
As federal authorities tighten their net and old ghosts from his Brooklyn past resurface, Dwight is forced to tap back into the ruthless street instincts he tried to leave behind—effectively turning Tulsa into an open warzone.
While the on-screen action is guaranteed to deliver the high-caliber grit fans expect, Tulsa King continues its trend of musical chairs behind the camera. The Hollywood Reporter notes that original showrunner Terence Winter has returned as head writer and executive producer for Season 4. Winter steps back into the driver’s seat following the exit of Season 3 showrunner Dave Erickson (Mayor of Kingstown), who reportedly departed after creative differences with Stallone.
On the casting front, Emmy nominee Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire) joins the fray as a series regular. She will line up alongside returning favorites including Martin Starr, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, Dana Delany, Frank Grillo, and Neal McDonough.
Tulsa King remains one of the crown jewels of Paramount+’s streaming lineup. Even as fans buckle up for Season 4, the writers’ room has already opened for a potential Season 5, which is heavily rumored to move production from Atlanta back to New York City.
Furthermore, the universe is expanding via the upcoming spinoff series Frisco King (previously teased as NOLA King) starring Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson, who made a memorable splash in Season 3 as hitman Russell Lee Washington Jr., wrapped filming on the spinoff earlier this summer.
