The New MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Film Gets A Title And Release Date
Currently at my hand is my own recovery from election fatigue while I get back into the thick of things. Alas, amid all the craziness came news of M: I6 – Mission Impossible, now stamped for a July 27, 2018 release date.
Promising more action and bigger stunts, actor Tom Cruise will be back no less to star in, as well as produce along with Paramount Pictures and David Ellison’s Skydance. The cast is far from confirmed though it’s currently expected that actress Rebecca Ferguson may reprise her role from last summer’s preceding hit success, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
Production is expected to commence in the Spring from a script by Christopher McQuarrie who is signed on to direct. Next year’s June 19 and September 29 dates mark the respective releases of Universal’s remake/reboot of The Mummy and Doug Liman’s American Made.
