THE OUTLAW JOHNNY BLACK Teaser Trailer Sees Michael Jai White Return To ‘Dynamite’ Form
Arriving just in time to remind you that actor and martial arts star Michael Jai White is also a consumate filmmaker when he’s in the chair is the official teaser trailer for The Outlaw Johnny Black, the long-awaited non-canonical follow-up to Scott Sanders’ 2009 Blaxploitation spoof, Black Dynamite. Samuel Goldwyn Films is the independently produced and crowdfunded action comedy Western’s new home which is now on deck for theatrical release on September 15.
From director and star Michael Jai White comes THE OUTLAW JOHNNY BLACK. Hell bent on avenging the death of his father, Johnny Black vows to gun down Brett Clayton and becomes a wanted man in the process. He goes into hiding, posing as a preacher in a small mining town that’s been taken over by a notorious Land Baron.
White directs from his own script, and stars alongside Anika Noni Rose, Erica Ash, Byron Minns, Kym Whitley and Tony Baker.
