Chris Pratt is at the center of Hollywood’s attention with any hopes of another Guardians movie clamped down accordingly after the circus this past summer. After news of circling a new Taylor Sheridan pic, Paramount Pictures now wants him for The Saint.
As Deadline writes, talks are underway and Lorenzo di Bonaventura is on board to produce a hopeful relaunch of the Simon Templar character – originally created by author Leslie Charteris in 1928. The books, about a debonair Robin Hood-like character who targets high-end criminals (corrupt politicians, warmongers, etc.) gained feature film fruition in the 1930s and onward, with actors like Roger Moore, Val Kilmer and Adam Rayner among the lot.
There’s no director yet attached.
More to come.
