Whether or not you’re a fan of Paramount Pictures’s and Platnum Dunes’s latest iteration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the fact is that it’s getting a sequel with the likely reprisal of actress Megan Fox in her role of April O’Neil among other new and returning faces. On that note, Variety went underway on Tuesday with a report announcing the addition of fellow Turtles’ ally, New York City’s masked vigilante Casey Jones for actor Stephen Amell, star of the DC Comics-based CW series, Arrow.

Earth To Echo helmer David Green is directing from a script by returning writer Josh Applebaum and Andrè Nemec with producers Michael Bay and Brad Fuller on hand. The plot is unknown and the cast isn’t clear just yet regarding whether or not the actors from the first film – motion capture principles Noel Fisher, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Plozek and Danny Woodburn, and voice actors Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shahloub, will return with Fox, while it is clear that Will Arnett will be starring in addition to Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio also making an appearance, with the possibility of other classic characters from the early animated series, including mutants Bebop and Rocksteady, and Krang.
The film has presumably started shooting under the working title, Half-Shell, for a release set for June 3, 2016. Stay tuned!
