TUNNEL: Thai Hoa Treads The Underground Vietnam Warfront In The First Trailer
Vietnam War history is getting a 50th anniversary revisit next year with propaganda war flick, Tunnel (or Địa đạo), from director Bui Thac Chuyen. Actor Thai Hoa (Little Teo, Saigon Bodyguards) leads the cast in the 1967-set tale of a squad of Communist forces and their use of the labyrinthine Cu Chi tunnels to circumvent the U.S. military and help advance the capture of Saigon.
The event film is set to release next year on April 30 commemorating one of the world’s most pivotal moments. Some call it a “peaceful reunification,” although others will certainly feel disagreeable about the messaging there, while the film will certainly increase the dialogue plenty among cinephiles and netizens alike.
Either way and whatever way you feel about it, there’s a teaser for it.
