Vault Comics Adaptation, HEATHEN Finds Director
Twilight franchise and Miss Bala remake helmer Catherine Hardwicke is poised to direct female led viking warrioress fantasy, Heathen. Trade news throughout confirmed the project on Wednesday following the project’s announcement last April with a script by What Happened To Monday writer Kerry Williamson.
Created by Natasha Alterici for Vault Comics, the publication centers on Aydis, an outcast gay woman born in a time of war and tumult, who sets out to end the god-king Odin’s reign and free oppressed women from their shackles. As reported by Variety, “the book was selected by the Young Adult Library Service Association to be included in its 2018 “Great Graphic Novels For Teens” list.”
Prime Universe’s Adrian Askarieh will producing with F.J. DeSanto. Robert Kulzer and Margo Klewans are producing for Constantin whose Martin Moszkowicz and Vault CEO Damian Wassel will exec produce.
