VENGANZA: Mexican Action Thriller Pits Omar Chaparro Against His Wife’s Killers In The Official Trailer
Director Rodrigo Valdés’s new Mexican action thriller, Venganza, is gearing up to cast a new light on Mexico next month when it hits theaters. The film marks Valdés’s feature debut, and was announced last Fall at Amazon Upfronts with a cast led by Omar Chaparro and Alejandro Speitzer.
In Venganza, Chaparro plays an ex-special forces op with one single goal in mind: Avenging the brutal murder of his wife. When a twist of fate makes him a millionaire, Carlos uses his fortune to gather his arsenal and a team of soldiers to hunt down those responsible.
Venganza also stars Paola Núñez, Luis Alberti, Natalia Solián, Gustavo Sánchez Parra, and Lizeth Selene. The movie was penned by TV veterans Matt Bosack (“Shooter,” “NCIS: Hawai’i”) Daniel Krauze (“Luis Miguel: The Series”), and Yalun Tu (“Wu Assassins”), and produced by El Estudio.
Mexican audiences will have first dibs for the film’s theatrical release on February 26 from Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Cinépolis Distribución.
