VENGEANCE 2: Casting Ramps Up For Ross Boyask’s Action Thriller Sequel Filming This Week

Production goes underway in the next few days for the impending sequel, Ross Boyask‘s Vengeance 2. Host to Evolutionary Films’ latest prospect, Stu Bennett who reprises his role as John Gold once more, casting ramped up in full bloom over the weekend as production rolls on starting Tuesday in Suffolk, U.K..

Vengeance 2 follows the continuing exploits of former special-forces soldier John Gold, who is given the opportunity to bring Sean Teague – the man who betrayed his team on their final mission in Eastern Europe several years ago – to justice. Gold would cheerfully see Teague dead, but he is convinced to help transport him to a military prison to pay for his crimes. Along the way, Gold will have to fight off Teague’s team who are attempting to extract him, as well as a sniper seemingly hell-bent on killing Teague before he can be secured.

Trade news at Deadline confirmed the addition of Vinnie Jones on September 10 with the production taking to social media to announce the extended cast list, including several who’ve been a big deal on our site for all the right reasons and places.

Mark Griffin returns to the role of Gold’s handler, Frost as fans are said to learn a bit more about who he is along with his team of soliders. Actress and martial artist Katrina Durden (Doctor Strange, Amber, Street Fighter: Resurrection) will play Jen Quaid in a role otherwise described as “beautiful but deadly”, sans any further details not yet made public on the matter.

Sam Benjamin (Dr. Who, Peaky Blinders) joins in as all-around good guy solider, Shapiro, while fellow UK martial arts action prospects, actress Phoebe Robinson-Galvin (Black Site) weighs in as Kate Lynch with Jean-Paul Ly (Jailbreak, Nightshooters) staking his claim as Gold’s heroic special forces ally, Kelso.

Actress Jennifer Lee Moon (Krypton, Cardinal Burns) will play Stiles, described as an analytical special forces operative on a mission to bring down the villainous Teague. Anderton Jacob (13 Graves, Dark Angel) is cast for the role of Frost’s heavy gunner, Plachecki.

Rounding out the villain and of things are Bentley Kalu (American Assasssin, Kill Command, Avengers: Age Of Ultron) as a tough, charismatic mercenary Renner, JessicaJane Stafford as Teague’s glamorous, cunning fiancée, Pearl, Greg Burridge (London Rampage) taking over the spot of Price, Joe Egan (Sherlock Holmes, Fanged Up) for the part of astutely polite merc badass, Gunnar, and Law Plancel (Jailbreak) adding to the ranks as Teague’s personal guard and equally skilled pugilist to boot, Kendrick, next to Lee A. Charles (Final Score) as Maynard, and fellow 13 Graves cohorts Tony Cook as Drake and Morgan James as Brookes.

Boyask (Left For Dead, Ten Dead Men, Warrioress) will direct once more from his own script. Diane Shorthouse and John Adams are producing with Bennett serving as executive producer.

The first, branded I Am Vengeance by Saban Films, is currently available in the U.S. wherever movies are streamed or sold.
