Vietnamese Gangster Comedy BAD BLOOD Teaser Shows Kieu Minh Tuan Is No Joke In The Latest International Teaser
WME Independent launched its sales slate at the Cannes market this week and part of the line up is Dan Trong Tran latest Vietnamese action comedy, Bad Blood. The film was poised for a 2021 release but eventually premiered locally back in February from what I can find.
For this, we get lead actor Kieu Minh Tuan (798Ten, Chị Mười Ba 2: 3 Ngày Sinh Tử) starring as a notorious gangland henchman who suffers a sudden accident and loses his mind, only to find himself taking on a new life and identity as a public actor.
It should be said that IMDb credits Chị Mười Ba 2: 3 Ngày Sinh Tử helmer Vo Thanh Hoa as the director while Silvia Wong’s Cannes market coverage at Screendaily on Wednesday notes Tran as the director. That’s either due to an error at IMDb or internal film-biz politics as usual but that’ll get sorted out eventually.
At any rate, the film has an English-subbed short teaser you can check out below, along with a long form trailer just beneath.
