Marvel muscled up its repetoire on Tuesday with a new addition to its comic book line to possibly accompany its third impending installment of Captain America 3, essentially opening the door to a new phase in their cinematic universe. This comes as DC Entertainment and Warner Bros have been aiming to go neck-and-neck with their current focus on director Zack Synder’s Batman V. Superman: The Dawn Of Justice, following their blockbuster success with Man Of Steel last year, in addition to the development of other properties for film.

Well, the competition is now beefing up this week in the months since Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment listed at least nine or ten more movies in an announcement this summer prior to San Diego Comic-Con. Moreover, it is also worth noting that considering the electrifying response that ensued with the exclusive Comic-Con teaser for BvS: DoJ, clearly WB and DC are aiming real high nowadays, and they sure are taking their sweet time doing it.

Reports are now indicating new details of a six-year plan for ten tentpole movies to go into production for their dated and pending release. The film will tentatively complete their current six-year agends as announced by WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara during Time Warner Investors’ Day shareholders’ meeting on Wenesday. In a nutshell, here are the dates from top to bottom:

– “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder (March 25, 2016)
– “Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (August 5, 2016)
– “Wonder Woman,” starring Gal Gadot (June 23, 2017)
– “Justice League Part One,” directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (November 10, 2017)
– “The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller (March 23, 2018)
– “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (July 27, 2018)
– “Shazam”, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam (April 5, 2019)
– “Justice League Part Two,” directed by Zack Snyder (June 14, 2019)
– “Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (April 3, 2020)
– “Green Lantern” (June 19, 2020)

The shareholders’ meeting also announced 2016, 2018 and 2020 dates for the new Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, based on Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s work, as well as three more LEGO movie follow-ups, including Ninjago, LEGO Batman and The LEGO Movie 2.

Other DC titles mentioned in Wednesday’s event included more standalone Batman and Superman films. However, there are a few titles that still need updates, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Sandman project with screenwriters David Goyer and Jack Thorne, and creator Neil Gaiman working on the screenplay, as well as Lobo, which Joel Silver was tapped to produce for Brad Peyton to write and direct back in 2012 after Guy Ritchie’s departure; The latter was meant for Johnson himself to star in, but obviously things are changing, although who knows at this point?

At any rate, these are a lot of movies. And that means a lot of money for Hollywood to play with in lieu of the fact that superhero movies are here to stay, which is all well and good for the fans, so…save your money and mark your calendars, kids. *Sigh*… I need a walk!
