WARRIORS OF FUTURE: Don’t Miss The Newest Trailer For Ng Yuen-Fai’s Sci-Fi Action Debut
It’s been eight (count ’em, EIGHT) years since VFX steward Ng Yuen-Fai’s conceptual sci-fi action short, Virtus, made the rounds with the substantial backing by the presence of actor Louis Koo whose One Cool Film label has been shepherding the project as producer. Indeed the wait has been long for the sci-fi thriller we all know now as Warriors Of Future, which joins Koo alongside actors Sean Lau, Carina Lau, Nick Cheung, Phillip Keung, Qian Wu and many more.
Penned by Law Chi-Leung, the film is set in the future where Earth is devoid of life due to climate change and pollution, while a meteorite brings an extraterrestrial life to our planet. That’s the basic gist of what we’ve been seeing apart from the ambitious production design and feel we’ve been gathering from the recent trailers and behind-the-scenes featurettes making the rounds, including a new trailer available as of Monday which you can view atop this page.
The film is also at the center of a launch held in Hong Kong SAR just yesterday for the film’s NFT collection out of OneCool Collective which you can learn more about by clicking here as of this post. In the meantime, the film is set to screen on August 4 at the Qixi Festival before its theatrical release in the mainland on August 5, and screening at the 46th HKIFF ahead of its subsequent release in Hong Kong SAR from August 25.
