Curse Of The Golden Flower and Police Story: Lockdown co-star, actor Liu Ye is currently poised to appear in Xiao Feng’s war epic, The Bombing with a due date still pending. In the meantime, his forthcoming appearance in director Cao Baoping’s newesr, Cock And Bull, caught some notoriety over the summer during the Shanghai International Film Festival where it won Ye an award for best actor.Joined by Zhang Yi, Duan Bowen and Fiona Wang, the film sees Ye in the role of an honest small town mechanic whose quarrel with a motorcyclist pits him as the suspect behind his murder. When the police investigation runs cold, he sets out in search of the truth and crosses paths with the thief who stole the motorcycle, and soon enough, off-road anarchy and craziness ensues for what looks to be a noteworthy murder mystery caper when it releases in China this September.
