WB Japan Reveals TOKYO REVENGERS: BLOODY HALLOWEEN ARC Trailer For Back-To-Back Action Sequels
I’ll wait as long as it takes for Tsutomu Hanabusa’s inaugural Tokyo Revengers flick to get a Western distributor. It was a favorite among faves back in 2019 and I would love to help share it with audiences in my neck of the globe if possible, especially with Warner Bros. Japan now shepherding a back-to-back sequel this Spring and Summer based on Ken Wakui’s hit manga.
Making his return to the fray from returning scribe Izumi Takahashi is none other than Takumi Kitamura in the lead role of Takemichi Hanagaki once more, following the events of the first film. Alas, as if stumbling back in time to redo his yesteryear teenage hard knocks to save his beloved, Hinata, in the future from certain death wasn’t enough, our would-be hero must now endure his trials yet again to settle old scores with former friends and possibly save her once and for all…
That’s basically the pitch with details in between for folks familiar with the anime and or manga at this point. As for the cast, Kitamura is joined by Mio Imada and Yosuke Sugino, along with Yuki Yamada, Gordon Maeda, Hiroya Shimizu, Hayato Isomura, Shotaro Mamiya and Ryo Yoshizawa, with Kento Nagayama, Nijiro Murakami and Mahiro Takasugi.
All these names and more comprise the cast of the forthcoming dual sequel release highlighting the manga’s “Bloody Halloween Arc”, firstly with Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween Part 1 – Fate on April 21, and Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween Part 2 – Decisive Battle on June 30. The brand new short and long-form trailers are now online for both films below, as well as a pair of posters for each flick courtesy of Warner Bros. Japan.
