WildHouse Ignites Colombian Co-Production Slate Launching This Year From ‘Diablo,’ ‘Dominique’ Producers
A trio of producers behind actioners like Michael S. Ojeda’s Dominique and Ernesto Diaz Espinosa’s Diablo are joining forces to launch production label WildHouse. A slate of four Colombian co-productions announced on Thursday will start production between now and 2027. Here are the titles:
Sanctuary, written by Ryan Self, directed by Jason Gurvitz
State of Nature, written by Aaron Greyson, directed by Geoff Browne, produced by Paul Tamasy (The Fighter) and Stuart Pollok (Into the Grizzly Maze)
Lorenzo, written by Lucca De Francisco, a Colombia/Mexico/US Co-production.
SevenBells, based on the historical Colombian urban legend – written by Justin Calen-Chenn (Bel Air) and Jason Gurvitz.
Story and casting details remain pending for each project. Funding is backed for the slate by Colombia-based Liontrust Investment Group.
“Colombia’s film industry is incredibly dynamic right now, and we’ve already demonstrated the power of these cross-border collaborations,” said Colombian producer Alvaro Gutierrez. “WildHouse gives us a dedicated vehicle to develop and finance stories in the $3–5M budget range that can compete on the global stage.”
“WildHouse is exactly the kind of smart, commercially focused initiative that raises Colombia’s profile on the world stage,” he added. “We’re proud to partner with such an experienced team on this exciting new venture.”
