If there were ever a better time for the longstanding DC comic book legend, Wonder Woman, that time has come. Sure, it’s taken decades for the character to see anything other than TV and animated properties like her other male counterparts, though the market these days is reportedly tons more profitable for film now, and I’d bet that director Patty Jenkins couldn’t be more pleased.
The first teaser trailer shined over the summer amid Comic Con fevor and at least one international spot circulated. On Thursday, Warner Bros. Pictures threw the signal once more for fans to revel in actress Gal Gadot’s latest iteration of the cinematic superheroine following this year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
SYNOPSIS:
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui also star from a script by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns. June 2 is the date to save until then, so check out the official trailer below now!
