Last week’s trailer for Justin Kurzel’s adaptation of the hit game franchise, Assassin’s Creed, drew a small but noticeable measure of criticism from fans who have since taken a liking to an unofficial version of the trailer which you can check out here. Personally I still think it’s missing something, but I won’t linger here with at least seven more months left until December when the film releases.
So, until then, we can all just bask in our own fandom for the franchise and sample what we can from the footage that shows us MacBeth star Michael Fassbender in the dual role of a prisoner decleared dead for reasons unknown until he’s assigned the task of exploring his past life as the member of an elite secret society of assassins in 15th century Spain in order to take out his enduring present day rivals.
The film certainly aims at the fandom a bit as well as with a sheer new highlight on cinematic freerunning and promises its own share of fun in that regard. Fassbender is joined by Marion Cotillard and Ariane Labed with Jeremy Irons, Brendan Glesson and Michael K. Williams all here to represent the film’s new theatrical rendition, and for this, we have the second poster to share below!
