17 BRIDGES: The Manhunt Begins As Cameras Roll For The Chadwick Boseman Crime Thriller
The Russo Brothers took to social media to reveal a first look at Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman as principal photography commenced for upcoming crime thriller, 17 Bridges. The image comes a day after trade source The Wrap confirmed the additions of Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons, actress Sienna Miller and actor Taylor Kitsch.
Brian Kirk (Luther) is directing from a screenplay written by Adam Mervis and revised by Matt Carnahan. Hailing from STXfilms and the Russos’ AGBO label, 17 Bridges tells of a disgraced NYPD detective whose latest shot at redemption in the wake of uncovering a conspiracy, comes as the city closes all 17 bridges connecting into Manhattan while the force hunts down a pair of cop killers.
MWM Studios, the TV/film division of Madison Wells Media, is also producing as are Boseman, Logan Coles and Joe and Anthony Russo, along with MWM co-founder Gigi Pritzker (Hell or High Water). Rachel Shane (Genius) and Adrian Alperovich will exec produce for MWM Studios, and with Melissa Rucker co-producing.
