Fast X and Motor City actor Alan Ritchson is partaking a slate of features in a deal with Netflix according to the latest from Deadline’s Justin Kroll on Monday. On deck per the reporting is a heist thriller billed as “Fast & Furious on motorcycles,” with none other than Fast franchise co-scribe Chris Morgan penning script.
The new movie “revolves around a crew of motorcycle thieves who begin stealing priceless antiquities around the world. Interpol recruits a onetime MotoGP prodigy (Ritchson) to catch them — until he realizes the ringleader may be his younger brother long believed dead.”
Ritchson is producing out of his Dancing Skeleton label with Morgan and Ainsley Morgan for Chris Morgan Productions, and Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for RK Films. Sports brand MotoGP is collaborating with the project for its development.
The news reteams Ritchson with the streamer following the success of Patrick Hughes’ War Machine, which led to a sequel announcement back in June. Ritchson, who also has a first look deal at Amazon MGM Studios, will next appear in season four of hit series “Reacher,” which premieres August 12.
