New To Tubi? Love Martial Arts And Action? Here’s What’s Available!

If you’re not yet keen on Tubi, it’s a free ad-supported streaming service that contains a plethora of films and TV shows. It’s of a certain variety and the titles rotate but the line-up is always great depending on your tastes, and it never runs out of martial arts content. That’s where I’m coming in as of this week and it just so happens there’s a few new titles now streaming which I’d like to list, along with some recommendations, the first being Yes, Auntie! Art School Dropouts Presents THE IN-HOUSE GRINDHOUSE This Saturday

Art School Dropouts will take to their platforms this weekend to host The In-House Grindhouse, an interactive livestream to showcase a trio of short-duration film blocks host to independent filmmakers around the web, spanning different genres. The New Jersey-based film troupe made the announcement just over a few weeks ago for a call to entries stamped for an April 5 deadline. Seeing how the production industry is taking a big hit during this outbreak, we wanted see if we could help promote other content creators during quarantine. We hope that we can connect new viewers to great talent around the world and hope this helps our film community thrive and survive this pandemic. ATOMIC BLONDE Sequel Gets Traction At Netflix

David Leitch‘s inaugural solo directing gig with 2017 Cold War spy pic, Atomic Blonde may at long last have a future if Thursday’s Discussing Film report is any hint. A follow-up is reportedly in development at Netflix with actress Charlize Theron expected to reprise her role as Lorraine Broughton, an elite MI6 agent who, in the first film, debriefs her superiors on her deadly assignment in 1989 to retrive a dossier in Berlin, containing a list of double agents. That film is based on 2012 graphic novel, “The Coldest City”. Kelly McCormick (Deadpool 2, Fast And Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw) is expected to continue onward from the original film as producer, alongside Theron who will produce at Denver And Delilah Productions with Beth Kono. BODYGUARD: Check Out The Trailer For Son Seung-Hyun’s New Action Drama

It’s been a while since Pluto director Son Seung-hyun’s name popped up anywhere. I supposed now’s good a time as any with the otherwise slated April release for his recent career follow-up, Bodyguard, which features Kang Seok-chul, and actress Yoo Ye-bin. The gist? Basically it’s a tale gangsters and corporate goons, and a fated reunion between an employee for a shipping company, and the woman he rescues. This, and an imaginably brutal air of violence with lots of fisticuffs to bookend the drama. HanCinema has more if you can dissect the plot some, but do peep the teaser trailer.

Terror Films, Watch Movies To Release Four Free Films Starting Friday

Genre Distributor Terror Films has teamed with the AVOD YouTube Channel, Watch Movies Now to kick off a slate of releases beginning Friday, April 10. Marwa’s Blood Rush, which remains in active development under Marwa’s independent Rocket Sky High film label. Marwa also confirmed with FCSyndicate on Wednesday that Malaysian stunt performer, actor Hairul Azreen is officially joining the feature thriller; Balinese actor Oka Antara (Foxtrot Six, The Raid 2) was previously attached following reported talks last week but has since departed the project due to scheduling concerns. Japanese cinema is one of the most adoring caveats of sharing film discussions, and director Kurando Mitsutake is a highly welcome subject matter in that regard. I first read about him back in 2014 or so while reading a piece Twitchfilm (before the site rebranded as Screen Anarchy) promoting his blood-coated sexy assassin thriller, Gun Woman, and… well, I started jonesin’! SPUTNIK: Get Possessed By Slimey Space Creatures In The Official Trailer For Egor Abramenko’s Dark Supernatural Thriller

Egor Abramenko’s feature directorial debut, Sputnik, will get its day in North America on August 14 in select theaters, on digital and cable VOD. IFC Midnight is handling its U.S. distribution with its acquisition from North American sales agents at XYZ Films. The move comes following what would have been its April 16 Russia release ahead of its Midnight section premiere at the 19th Tribeca Film Festival, which is reportedly looking into other avenues for this year’s festivities as the U.S. battles the Covid-19 pandemic. Madman Films is proudly unleashing the viking midland anarchy later this year, and they’ve launched an official trailer to boot. The Viking children Røskva and Tjalfe embark on an adventurous journey from Midgard to Valhalla with the gods Thor and Loki. Life in Valhalla, however, turns out to be threatened by the dreaded Fenrir wolf and the god’s barbaric archenemies, the Jotnar. Side by side with the gods the two children must fight to save Valhalla from the end of the world – Ragnarok. BLOOD RUSH: Oka Antara Among Names Circling Ranjeet S. Marwa’s New Action Thriller [EXCLUSIVE]

Protracted development otherwise remains underway for the Ranjeet S. Marwa action thriller, Blood Rush, and several additional actors are now eyeing the project for varying starring and support roles. Among the lot is Balinese actor Oka Antara, who has been in preliminary dicussions with Marwa for a few days now. In addition, actor and stunt performer Andrew Suleiman will enlist in a small role next to working behind the scenes on fight choreography with Nick Khan. Character details are under wraps but I’m told both roles will assuredly contribute to the action scenes per the film’s narrative.
