I haven’t had much room in life to fully digest a lot of films or even enjoy most of the ones I discuss, and that goes for director Jeremy Saulnier’s Blue Ruin which has been in my wishlist for what feels like ages now. I’m still keen on his work, personally, with an adherence toward gritty crime drama and suspense thrillers to go with my personal tastes in film next to action, and as of late, Saulnier’s newest, Green Room, certainly aims to do that with Sir Patrick Stewart leading in pure, brilliant villainy. The Final Trailer For Marvel's DAREDEVIL Brings A City Under Siege!

We’re merely three days away from the premiere of the second season of Marvel’s epic superhero series, Daredevil, and the story has thusfar drawn an immense amount of thrills from top to bottom. Compelling drama, amazing action and a sprawling crime epic measure in with Charlie Cox in the role for the Netflix series and he’s done so with plenty of justice in season one. Looking ahead, season two looks no different either, and indeed, more characters are entering the fray to turn this show on its head in hopefully the best imaginable way. Well Go USA Nabs Benny Chan's CALL OF HEROES

Louis Koo in “Call Of Heroes” Like clockwork and in a move that only makes sense to martial arts genre fans in the U.S. alike, word from Variety states that Well Go USA has snagged the rights to director Benny Chan’s Call Of Heroes which opens in China later this year. The film looks certainly worth celebrating as well with a cast headlined by Louis Koo who stars as the ultimate villain, specifically as the prisoner of a village now targeted by his warlord father. You can sample a little of this right now in the most recent trailer which glimmers with stunning period action and spectacle with fight choreography by none other than Sammo Hung. KOEI Temco You have to give it up to video games! They almost always find a way to other mediums and if we’re fortunate enough, those transitions will be done correctly for them to continue. This is a wish now setting in stone for some among many who are longstanding fans of Omega Force’s KOEI Temco game franchise, Dynasty Warriors/Shin Sangokumusou. I think I may have contributed more on my blog than I may have wanted to, although it was probably instinctive. Maybe. Alas, I found myself working on the Hit List at the very last minute of Sunday and so I managed to get a few things together, including a few oldie-goodies I think are worthy of your viewing… On that one and as always, we’re starting things off with a slew of stunt reels and I’m buckling down to twelve this week for a playlist that features stuntwoman Somnang Chay, followed by a return to form from German action actor and Kampfansage co-star Volkram Zschieche. Actress Rebecca Ferguson became a darling find for many a moviegoer last year in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and gladly that won’t be the last we hear of her with a number of titles she’s attached to. One such title hails from the UK with the forthcoming release of the period romantic war drama, Despite The Falling Snow. Writer and director Shamim Sarif marks her third feature film drama here with this following the release of her 2004 novel of the same name and Altitude is opening the film in the UK on April 15, with Charles Dance and Sam Reid also starring. Reportedly, casting is under way for Media Asia’s forthcoming production of the Japanese crime classic remake, Manhunt. For this, Apple Daily cites a diverse set of names with The Taking Of Tiger Mountain and Special ID co-star Hanyu Zhang along with South Korean leading man Lee Byung-Hun and actresses Ha Ji-Won as among the current crop to star. The film, once an adaptation of Nishimura Juko’s 1976 novel from director Sato Junya and starring the now departed Ken Takakura, centers on a lawyer who must set out to clear his name after being wrongfully accused and framed for robbery, rape and multiple murders. Vivacious events over at SXSW this week have gladly left room for mention of AMC network’s forthcoming series, Preacher. Two years since actor-turned-director Derek Yee took the helm for the latest three 3D offering, Sword Master 3D, we now have a stunning new trailer that graciously bolsters with enough visuals to catch the eye. For all these efforts and more, we have actors Kenny Lin and Peter Ho joining in to lead the time-honored story based on late Hong Kong author Gu Long whose work inspired Yee’s then-lead starpower in the original Shaw Brothers production, Death Duel. Jingle Ma's EUROPE RAIDERS Convene Next Month

Continuing news coming out of Hong Kong Filmart now brings word of a new film long in the making, and with none other than The Grandmaster co-star, actor Tony Leung Chiu-Wai leading point. For this, we point to director Jingle Ma who has since raided Japan and Seoul in 2000 and 2006 with Tokyo Raiders and Seoul Raiders, respectively. This week, the word now is that Ma will direct a third installment to this particular franchise for Europe Raiders, with Leung back once more. The franchise so far encompasses a bevy of names like Kelly Chen, Ekin Cheng, Shu Qi and Richie Jen to name a few, with Leung starring in the first film as a tough James Bond-esque P.I. in Tokyo with a jilted bride-to-be in search of her missing fiancè, with the sequel focused on a case involving counterfeit printing plates. News coming out of Hong Kong Filmart reports via THR that actor Andy Lau (Firestorm, Saving Mr. Wu) will begin his next venture in reunion with director Herman Yau (Ip Man: The Final Fight) for the new action thriller, Shock Wave. Lau is one who’s been the center of attention from time to time, and particularly with recent news of a sequel to his earlier fantasy muscle suit-fu actioner, Running On Karma, which I hope we hear more on soon. In the meantime, Lau will star in Shock Wave as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Bureau officer on the hunt for the mentor who trained him earlier in his career, all in the wake of a bomb threat at the Cross Harbour Tunnel. Watch The Newest Trailer For ROCKY HANDSOME

Director Nishikant Kamat’s new movie, Rocky Handsome is hitting the big screen in a little under two weeks and a new trailer has already gone viral since then. Actor and producer John Abraham is the star here with a story inspired by its South Korean counterpart, The Man From Nowhere, as you may have guessed if you’ve seen the 2010 film. If not, well, you probably should. As far as remakes go, it’s hard to re-establish a film that already hits the right notes. That said, we’ll see if Abraham bodes just as well. At any rate, it looks like he’s off to a good start with some great action sequences – some of which look absolutely ridiculous in a 90’s sort of way. Check out the newest trailer below.

If you’ve managed to contain your sanity up to now in lieu of the forthcoming four-part mini-series, Street Fighter: Resurrection, congratulations! The patients can be pretty waning at times, but thankfully the show makes its go90 mobile app premiere in less than 48 hours and should service a meaty tie-over until further developments are made on Street Fighter: World Warrior. Joey Ansah sits at the helm following Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist for this newest venture seuging from the most recent game release, Street Fighter V. Making their return are actors Christian Howard and Mike Moh in the good company of the latest live-action incarnations of characters Charlie Nash played by Alain Moussi and Natascha Hopkins as Laura Matsuda, of which all four can now be seen speaking about the series in the new behind the scenes featurett below.
