Henderson also Khmer-language actioner with Michael Hodgson which stars Dara Our and Sophakmith Ung with Savin Phillip as the elderly villain. For Pretend For Real Films’s own Mike L. Taylor, one such character stands out in the form of the titular hero in the 1991 cult slapstick classic, Sgt. It hasn’t been a good week at DreamWorks Animation with their stocks hitting a 52-week low on Thursday, ultimately leading to a huge number of layoffs. This also forced the company to reduce its feature film release plan to only two a year, including the long-awaited threequel to the largely China-produced Kung Fu Panda frachise. With actor Jack Black joined by an ensemble cast once more, the film is poised for a March 18, 2016 release following its pushback from December this year to avoid crossing sabers with J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I have a problem with invulnerable heroes. And I prefer Batman to Superman. Let’s go ahead and get that out of the way. My reason, on the surface, is a simple one. But when we lay it out on the table, it’s much more existentially complex. The knowledge that a character can be harmed bears a direct relationship to how compelling their battles are. And even though we know, like in the case of Batman, that the hero likely will not die during the proceedings of the story, the foundation of their heroics can be measured by the quality of their risks. Well, I finally did it! …Nope, I still ended up gathering a lot of videos. Most of these are reels, but it still makes for quite an ample list entertaining material.
