A fifth and possible final trailer arrived for the upcoming release of action star Jackie Chan’s Police Story 2013. Directed by Ding Sheng, the film promises to bring a new, darker aesthetic to the classic, more colorful titular film series that earned Chan his fame as a leading figure in Hong Kong action cinema back in the 1980’s. Considering new press as of late, it’s very pleasing to hear that Chan still has the drive to direct quality action while he settles back from performing the usual bigger, signature feats of stuntwork that have garnered his career with as much praise as it has with the numerous injuries he has suffered-some even being life-threatening. Multifaceted international action star, Guiness World Record holder and filmmaker Jackie Chan attended a press interview this past Wednesday at the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur to promote his newest film, Police Story 2013. It has been speculated that Chan was possibly nearing the end of his career as an action star while leaning toward an interest in more drama-oriented or musical roles. And while this is mostly true, Chan eventually clarified things back in October expressing the facts a little bit more to The Wall Street Journal‘s Don Steinberg regarding what some believed was his wish to retire from action in general. “No, I never said that!” he exclaimed. “I was in Cannes Film Festival and said ‘Chinese Zodiac’ is my last big action movie. Tempest Goes For A Beach Run In BAD DOOD

A little bit of classic Muhammad Ali audio gets featured in Tempest Freerunning’s latest video edit this week, Bad Dood. The new short video, shot on location at Venice Beach showcases two of its own, Gabriel Nuñez and Luci Romberg, with fellow freerunning pro-athlete and stuntman Pasha Petkuns, who hails all the way from Thailand by way of Team Farang. It is pretty much what it is-three of the world’s most highly acclaimed performers doing what they love in a sport that continues to cultivate its way through the mainstream, by way of TV, film, and for some, as a way of life. An Ex-Cop Fights To Save His Family And His Name In The New Trailer For MEA CULPA

A new trailer arrived online exclusively at Twitchfilm for the French action-suspense-redemption thriller, Mea Culpa, from director Fred Cavayé, which sees a down-and-out former cop fighting to protect his family after a gang of murders are forced to cover their tracks with innocent blood. The film stars Caesar-nominated actors Vincent Lindon and Gilles Lellouche, both who worked with the director seperately on his previous hit films, the 2008 crime drama Anything For Her and the 2010 hostage thriller Point Blank. Nadine Labaki, Velibor Topic and Tomi May round out the principle cast. Fox International has already acquired distribution rights from Gaumont for North America, Latin America and Germany as the film currently awaits its February 5, 2014 release at home. The folks over at UK-based Richwater films issued a press release several days ago ahead of the upcoming UK home release of the new revenge action thriller, Vendetta, starring Danny Dyer. The press release mainly focuses on anti-piracy and the networked stealing of films, a common and growing problem over many years which highly affected many areas of film industry, especially studios who produce smaller budgeted pictures. Producer Jonathan Sothcott addressed the issue in the following press release, as well as his recent interview with WhatDVD.net‘s own Darren Jamieson published on Friday.To put it plainly, the message is quite simple: Piracy hurts the industry and other fans who enjoy movies. Warner Bros. Japan unveiled a brand new teaser for the two upcoming releases of director Keishi Otomo‘s Rurouni Kenshin film franchise. This week, a brand new teaser aired publicly for The Next Generation -Patlabor-. The teaser marks the latest revival of the classic franchise based on Headgear’s award-winning 1988 manga/anime property, newly reapproached for a seven-part twelve-episode live-action serial reboot that follows up the previous stories with a fresh new plot and cast of characters. Long after putting forward his efforts in Chill’s exclusive online graphic action webseries, Vigilante Diaries, and the sci-fi horror thriller Lost Time, director Christian Sesma (pictured left) is currently readying his latest Mexican border action thriller, The Nightcrew with actors Luke Goss, Paul Sloan, Bokeem Woodbine, Jason Mewes and Danny Trejo among a list of other cast members. A fake teaser trailer went viral on Thursday after it was announced that an actual teaser for the upcoming film, The Expendables 3, would arrive online the same day. Entertainers Nick Acott and Gary Scullion have been keeping themselves quite busy in the past year making visually inspired, fun, action packed shortfilms on their YouTube channel where they host their UK-based independent film company, Sneaky Zebra. They eventually stopped by this summer’s exhilarting events at San Diego Comic-Con over the summer where they met up and hung out with VFX impressario, actor and independent filmmakers Freddie Wong and Jimmy Wong.
