Promotion for the upcoming December 25, 2013 release of Universal Pictures’ 47 Ronin continues in full swing with new clips and featurettes, as well as motion graphic novelization – a key selling factor for many sci-fi/fantasy/action adventure films as of late, with 47 Ronin recently unveiling its own prequel comic for the film last week courtesy of Crave. Releasing theatrically on February 21, 2014 courtesy of Relativity Media Distribution Group since its announcement last year, the new trailer has finally made its way to Yahoo! Movies for director McG’s upcoming action thriller, 3 Days To Kill. The new trailer comes in light of the brand new poster (pictured left) was unveiled on Monday longer after several stills went viral for the film via Indiewire. Lunar Stunts founders, independent filmmakers Eric Nguyen and Irvin Nguyen are looking to end 2014 with a bang in the form of their latest epic action short film, Fair Game. The piece was filmed around four months ago starring actor and stuntman Jeffrey Griffith and the team’s newest member, Mikey Arce, from a script written and directed by Eric about a consulting agent hired by a security agency to aid an escaped prisoner, only to learn the truth of his mission later on. IGN confirmed this week that actress Adriene Palicki will star once again in the upcoming third installment of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe film franchise from Paramount. The news came admist an interview with the actress on the set of her next action film with Keanu Reeves, John Wick, where she reflects on being one of the most sought-after actresses for action movies, as well as her time filming and potentially starring in NBC’s television rendition of the iconic DC Comics heroine, Wonder Woman, prior to the show’s last-minute cancellation; That role has since gone to actress Gal Gadot for the big screen release of Zack Snyder’s untitled Batman vs. Superman movie. On Monday night, Summit Entertainment published their new release date slate for several of their upcoming films, two of which will follow up the forthcoming release of director Neil Burger‘s science fiction action thriller, Divergent. Based on author Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling trilogy of books, the 2D/IMAX March 21, 2014 release of Divergent stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James in a story of a post-apocalyptic society split into five factions where a young woman’s anomalic status may determine the fate of her life, her family, and her world. As per the book trilogy, Divergent will then follow up with the return of Woodley and James in Insurgent and Allegiant for March 20, 2015 and March 18, 2016, respectively. While we await further developments on the previously announced Versus sequel, acclaimed director Ryuhei Kitamura‘s upcoming action adventure heist flick, Lupin III continues to make headlines since beginning filming in October, and releasing several set photos featuring the cast and crew from its epic shoot. As such, the latest set picture (available below comes from the crew’s current filming location in Chendai, China as per a shooting schedule which also included Japan and Thailand.
