Twenty eight years and well over $2.8 billion dollars in global box office gross, James Cameron’s Avatar franchise has only grown toward bigger aspirations as fans of the inaugural 2009 film gear up for Avatar: The Way Of Water, opening in theaters from December 16.
Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Avatar: The Way Of Water is the second of a current five-film line-up at 20th Century Studios. The latest film is produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, and features a mix of new and returning stars like Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet.
