BOY KILLS WORLD: Capstone Boards Int’l Sales For ‘Dystopian Fever Dream Action Film’ Starring Bill Skarsgård
LA-based Capstone Global is now the official home of international sales for Mortiz Mohr’s feature directing debut, Boy Kills World. The move partners the company with Nthibah Pictures, Hammerstone Studios, Raimi Productions and Vertigo Entertainment, with Capstone co-repping U.S. rights with CAA.
Actor Bill Skarsgård, who is also set to star in a new reimagining of The Crow, stars in the film which is described as “a dystopian fever dream action film”; Skarsgård plays Boy, a deaf mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, he is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.
Rounding out the cast are Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day), Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman (“Stranger Things,” “Fleabag”), Isaiah Mustafa (It Chapter 2), martial arts master Yayan Ruhian (The Raid 1 & 2, John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, Wira), Nicholas and Cameron Crovetti (“Big Little Lies,” “The Boys”), and Quinn Copeland (“Punky Brewster”) with Andrew Koji (Bullet Train, Snake Eyes, “Warrior”), Sharlto Copely (District 9) and Famke Janssen (X-Men trilogy Taken trilogy) also starring.
Boy Kills World was written by Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith (Child’s Play). Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi are producing through Raimi Productions, alongside Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, Simon Swart and Wayne Fitzjohn through Nthibah Pictures, and Alex Lebovici of Hammerstone Studios. Stuart Manashil and Dan Kagan are also serving as producers with Reza Brojerdi of Ventaro Film and Andrew Childs exec producing.
