Award-Winning Short Film Duo To Helm Female Actioner, HUMMINGBIRD For Fundemental Films
Fans familiar with the Electronic Arts game, Battlefield 1, may take a liking to what’s happening over Fundemental Films. What gives? Well, a speculative script that gives life to a new female-centric action thriller reportedly in the vein of John Wick and Lucy.
Such is what is in store for Hummingbird, which centers on a black-ops assassin who learns she’s more than a hired gun, but a new breed of weapon. According to Deadline, Marcus Kryler and Fredrik Akerström, the Swedish duo behind the most recent cinematic cut scenes of the Battlefield 1 video game, will set this as their feature debut following their recent accolades with the 2015 sci-fi short, Reset.
Executive producer Gary Glushon and producers Mark Gao and Gregory Ouanhon of Fundemental Films are joined by Broken Road Productions’s own Todd Garner executive producer Jeremy Stein.
