BLADES OF THE GUARDIANS: WIND RISES IN THE DESERT Wields A Fierce, Martial Arts-Packed Home Release In The U.S. This Summer
Well Go USA is proudly leading the charge with a release set for Yuen Woo-Ping’s Blades Of The Guardians: The Wind Rises In The Desert, on June 30. The label will then follow suit on August 25 with a combo release on Blu-Ray, 4K UHD and DVD.
The film – retitled accordingly to align with the film’s international marketing – is based on Xu Xianzhe’s hit 2015 manhua publication, and becoming a box office hit back in February. Yuen directs a cast led by Wu Jing and Nicholas Tse, along with Yu Shi and Ci Shan, with appearances by Max Zhang, Tony Leung Ka-Fai, and Jet Li among others.

Synopsis:
Legendary action master Yuen Woo-ping brings together martial arts icons Wu Jing, Nicholas Tse, Max Zhang, and Jet Li on an epic wuxia adventure across the desert sands. Bounty hunter Doa Ma takes a job escorting the empire’s most wanted man, Zhi Shi Lang, to Chang’an city. As word gets out, his group is hunted down by warriors across the land.
