A weekly round-up featuring selections of some of the best stunt reels, demos and shortfilms from around the internet

I’m inclined to blame Google for why this week’s installment of The Hit List almost didn’t happen seeing as how they’ve been having some serious YouTube issues in the last few weeks. Rocky roads this weekend. Ugh…
I can’t even sum up my weekend, save for the fact that like most of my weekends, it wasn’t a weekend, really. It never really is, to be honest… oh well.
I actually had a lot to do this weekend – some of which I almost didn’t get done… this week’s installment of The Hit List being one of them. Alas, here we are!
Independent filmmaker, career stunt performer and professional Bryan Sloyer has a direct penchant for delivering some of the most impactful, contemplative cinema in his shorts. With many of them choc-filled of the hearty and heavy fight kind, action fans would especially be wise to browse his channel and gain a window into his robust online repetoire.
My weekend was spent loading up on questions for certain individuals in movies, so we’ll see what comes of it in the next thirty days. Not to mention a review but…that one comes Tuesday or hopefully sooner.
It’s been a big past week in film for me what with reviews and all. I’m looking forward to what summer will offer so watch this space!
Having been in touch with a few people in the last several weeks since the year started, it’s got mw pondering my possibilities a bit as we approach the summer. Provided things look up for me this year, I should be getting some more outdoor minutes with friends and new faces, so we’ll see..
One of these weekends I’m just gonna have to steal one for myself if I can help it. (P.S. – Literally be ready for anything when riding New York City transit. And I mean anything.)
Managing to keep myself busy with a few things into January, I’ve also come to the realization of how drab post-birthday 2019 is, to be honest. So, I really hoping things turn upward from here on. Season 2 of The Punisher is pretty damn cool too.
I had a busy weekend, frankly. No time really to BS or lounge about but for all good reasons… but that’s for another post.
I sincerely hope everyone reading this had the best, most memorable Holliday season and New Year they could. It was a bit rocky the last two weeks leading up to my birthday on Friday, but I can’t even begin (try as I may) to illustrate how wonderful it was to attend my first ever ceremonial premiere event for a movie with friends.
Well… this is it. It’s been another incredible year for The Hit List and being able to explore some filmmakers beyond what they shoot. There’s still plenty exploring left to be done as I hope to do something a bit more ceremonial by next year and maybe with a little help and some luck, I’ll be able to accomplish it.
My weekend was mostly contemplative. I may try to explain this before the year is out as I’ve normally posted yearly thoughts around this time…
Two more weeks until the holidays! Have you guys laid out Christmas plans yet? I have, and if I’m fortunate then they’ll mostly include sleep.
Well how about that. Holiday break is almost here! I’m actually looking forward to some extra time to myself seeing as I’ve missed out on so much in the course of the year – I even had to put some anime on the backburner too…and kinda sucks. ?
It’s been a hell of a year. There are definitely a few things I want to share in that regard and will do in another post going into December.
Once again I’ve got my work cut out for me so there may be less articles this week while I prepare a select raft of pieces going forward through mid-December. At any rate, I’m still posting – perhaps even on Thanksgiving, so there’s that.
It’s a Saturday as I’m writing all of this and putting it together, so take in my pre-dated cohesive grammar skills because by Sunday, if I’m writing, I’ll be dead tired AF.
I’m actually kind of glad November is here as it actually feels like things might slow down a bit with the holidays near. Plus, I’m looking toward this Friday or Saturday for some fun stuff as well so, fingers crossed.
