THE HIT LIST: November 19, 2018
Once again I’ve got my work cut out for me so there may be less articles this week while I prepare a select raft of pieces going forward through mid-December. At any rate, I’m still posting – perhaps even on Thanksgiving, so there’s that.

For now, it’s time for another installment of The Hit List – dispelling the notion that businessmen in suits are the “real” artists.
Fight choreographer and stunt performer David Lavalee Jr. kicks off our stunt/demo reel playlist with a fine reel to display, followed by amazing reels from British Stunt Registry entry Craig Canning, Ishida Sachiko, Stuart Boother, Claire Hoogenboom, Zak Self, Rissy Dollins, Alan Silva, Talyn Edelson, Riley Rios Olga Miller, Christopher Spurrier, Ilana Collins, Jeremy Rivette, Noon Nardia Pimpitcha Boon, and a sensational demo reel by stunt multi-hyphenate Hiroki Asai.
There are several promo goods this week to share in the playlist below – comprised of three pitches from the Re:Anime YouTube channel: A trailer for a Tokyo Ghoul-inspired fan fight, and a trailer and featurette for an Avatar-inspired fan fight featuring Yoshi Sudarso and Nikki SooHoo

Gym bros are on the hunt for PeiPei Alena Yuan in Rustic B’s latest toplining this week’s Fights And Films section with James Croak, Tim Neff and Sari Sabella. Mohammed Elachi follows next with a shoot-em-up test shot featuring Monia Moula in action, followed by Geo Corvera’s latest three-on-oner led by Claire Hoogenboom opposite Ken Arata, Trevor Morgan and Evan Copage.
Of course, The Hit List isn’t sponsored by action sport brand MorfBoard, but their latest ad featuring Asher Rosen from Bluerock Creative still brings on some crazy thrills to balance out the ninjas. Next up is The Glitch Effect with Quan Minh Le and Glen Norman, a Michael Jackson-inspired comedy bit from Dani Medina and starting Mike Santana and Dany Ramos, a three-minute cycle of violence and unending opponents from a gang of Urban Action Showcase fight guys in Johnny X Wang’s Not Again, Alan Silva’s last stand in Ryan Wells’ new short inspired by The Purge, and cathartic musical romance action romp, Inteqam (Revenge) with vocals and music by Krishna Beura and Anand Raaj Anand, and featuring action actor Sunny Sagar.
Culminating the playlist is the first of a two-parter from Team Red Pro and Rising Tiger Films with Red Rising, promising a massive melee with a cliffhanger that is sure to have you subscribing. Fernando Jay Huerto, one of the longest-running staples of independent online action-on-film, is up next with Jabronie Pictures’ Unlocked – the story of a janitor who takes a bet from a sports hypnotherapist to unlock his full potential.
Last and far from least is Jack & Jameson, a roaring action drama about two brothers, divided by their upbringing and forced into a deadly all-or-nothing confrontation. Featuring Manny Brown and Cole Horibe, this one earned some favor at the Action On Film fest and Urban Action Showcase this year and now, it’s online as a terrific bookend to this week’s entries.
Enjoy the hits!

I might (actually) take a week off from The Hit List next week so I’ll keep you guys posted. I have a LOT to catch up with and I’m doing my best not to miss out.
