HARD HIT First Teaser Leaves All Intensity In The Driver’s Seat

CJ Entertainment is starting the week off on a high note for feature suspense thriller, Hard Hit. The first official teaser trailer has been running online for a while now but feel free to check it out above with actor Jo Woo-jin (Seobok) starring front and center. Jo stars as a bank branch manager en route to drop his kids off at school when he suddenly gets a mysterious phone call warning him that his car’s been wired to explode if he exits. Hard Hit is slated to open locally in June.

Subscribers to Swadesh Entertainment on YouTube will be some of the first to get a glimpse of what lies ahead for upcoming webseries, Ayotti. The first official trailer is online, and while there’s no immediate logline or plot description available, there’s enough visual imagery and insinuations in the subtitles to take what we can. This, coupled with a translation of the title which means “Mastered” according to Google Translate, a Southeast Asian and Australian mix cast and a healthy peppering of stylish and slick slo-mo cinematography to catch the eye and… well… you get the drift. Ayotti is produced by Faisal Azad and stars Saifullah Sadi, Tajzi Hossain, Rupanty Akid, Shawon Arijit, Takashi Hara, Eddie Tuckerman, Aiden Mckenzie, Lamont Malishus, Warren Deveros, Faisal Chowdhury, Maria Tran, Bobby Le, Masudur Rahman, Jasmine Vandenberg, Libby Millar, Imran, Wongso John, Anamul Haque and Sareya Akber Eva.

Director Areel Abu Bakar’s debut breakout actioner, Silat Warriors: Deed Of Death, proved to be a hit with some deserving prospects. It was last month when our own Cathy LaFrance managed to sit in for an online zoom discussion sponsored by NYC-based Columbia University’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month organization, and took a great deal of note down about the film’s history, meaning and much more. AMC Networks’ premium horror streamer, Shudder, is bolstering with some fine picks for subscribers, all set to launch in June. Joining the line-up will be Cody Calahan’s fifth film to date, Vicious Fun, having already picked up some film festival recognition from this year’s virtual Panic Fest and at Brussels both back in April. If Godzilla VS Kong hasn’t fully satisfied your monster movie appetite since this Spring, there’s also the promise of finally getting to see one of Marvel’s most menacing villains on the big screen in sequel fashion with Venom: Let There Be Carnage coming to theaters on September 24. The official trailer is now streaming as well, and despite the mixed reactions drawn from the inaugural 2018 film, that it faired well enough to garner a sequel will hopefully guarantee something more promising for those disappointed by the first film.
