This film is an exciting ride, filled with heroic bloodshed and well filmed martial arts sequences, that follows the lead in style that Donnie Yen paved with “Flash Point” (2007) mixing traditional martial arts with grappling in the fight sequences, which makes the fights very original and creative.

Years before that she fought all her way through to rescue her kidnapped daughter in 2009 film “Fury“, Veronica Ngo here played another desperate mother who is forced to fight in order to save her kidnapped daughter. Veronica plays a mob enforcer who must complete a series of organized crime jobs for her boss in order to win the release of her kidnapped daughter. She hires a bunch of mercenaries to help her, but things only gets complicated when she begins to develop feelings for one of them.

The story is interesting enough to justify the action, including a surprising plot twist that prevents the rhythm to drop. Veronica and Johnny have so much chemistry together and made a really nice screen couple. In this film they not just fight together, they also have a really cool dancing scene and a sexy and very well made artistic sex scene accompanied by a terrific song.

The film also showcased the ability of Veronica to lead an action film and the badassery of Johnny Nguyen as screen fighter, they both have that strange magnetism that can’t be explained and only truly talented people has.

If you love action and want to have a good time, don´t hesitate to give a chance to this Vietnamese clash of gunshots and insane martial arts.
