EK VILLAIN RETURNS: A Deadly Paradox Of Murder And Vengeance In The Official Trailer
It was back in 2014 that director Mohit Suri emerged with a remake of Kim Jee-woon’s 2010 murder thriller, I Saw The Devil. That film, Ek Villain, starring Siddharth Malhotra and Ritesh Deshmukh, became a multi-nominated and award-winning box office hit, and now it’s been followed up with a spiritual sequel that antees-up the killer thrills with Ek Villain Returns, with Suri back in the director’s chair for its July 29 release by AA Films.
8 years after Rakesh Mahadkar reigned terror on Mumbai, another serial killer has taken birth. More brutal and more dangerous but one that uses the same cover, the Smiley Mask. Ek Villain Returns is the story of two men in one sided love. The paths they choose to fulfill their love stories decide who the Hero is and who is the Villain.
John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor lead the cast this time around along with Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria for a story that looks absolutely brooding and omnious with the setting of a city still haunted by violence, and it certainly feels like more a sinister twist awaits.
Ek Villain Returns is produced by Bushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor who also produced the first film.
