Gary Ross’s OCEAN’S 8 Catches A NYC Train In A First Look Photo From The Upcoming Heist Pic
Oscar nominated director Gary Ross of The Hunger Games and Free State Of Jones fame is turning to an all-female line-up for his heist revival, Ocean’s Eight. Production is already underway as of November and with none other than Sandra Bullock as the estranged sister to George Clooney’s role in Steve Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Trilogy (2001-2007) which revamped Lewis Milestone’s 1960 Rat Pack-headlining classic.
Joining Bullock are Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway along with Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, actress and singer Rihanna and Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter. Plot details are unknown, save for what will likely ensue a clever plot involving a tricky and treacherous heist much in the vein of Soderbergh’s films. At any rate, Warner Bros. Pictures is granting folks a first look from the film’s New York City production with our female line-up with the city’s subway as the backdrop.
Actress Dakota Fanning abd actors Richard Robichaux, Damian Lewis and Richard Armitage also star along with Matt Damon reprising his role as Linus from Soderbergh’s films. June 8, 2018 is the current date so mark your calendars accordingly!
