Caution, Hazardous Wife and Drive My Car star Hidetoshi Nishijima is set to rage this year with Tatsushi Omori’s latest, Goodbye Cruel World. We have a short teaser and new poster out and judging by the retro font on the ink, the shots and style of cinematography and Omori’s choice of soundtrack a la the soulful sounds of 70s singer Margie Joseph, you can definitely get an idea about some of his influences.
Anzai (Nishijima), Mutoh, Hamada, Hagiwara, and Miru are in a car headed to a love hotel used by the Sugiyama Clan for money laundering. This one night only gang succeed in robbing them blind and though they were supposed to go their separate ways after splitting the money, the five end up being hunt down by a detective hired by the clan and clan members themselves.
