STX Action Thriller NOBODY Lands One ‘Hardcore’ Director
Director Ilya Naishuller (a.k.a. everyone’s favorite director of this 2013 music video) is reportedly on deck to helm action thriller, Nobody. Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) was attached to the film in January.
Derek Kolstad (John Wick trilogy) is penning the script which centers on a man pushed to his limits when coming to the defense of a woman ultimately has him hospitalizing one of her assailants whose brother, a drug kingpin, then sets out for revenge.
Nobody will be Naishuller’s second feature film for STX, the company that wasted no time in 2015 snagging U.S. distro right to his rousing debut, Hardcore Henry.
Odenkirk is producing with Marc Provissiero through their Odenkirk-Provissiero banner along with Braden Aftergood. Prolific stunt training and film production banner 87Eleven also boarded the project earlier this year at STX.
Geeks Worldwide‘s Christopher Marc on Sunday afffirmed in his exclusive that production is set to roll soon in Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
