JUMINTEN EDAN: Meisya Amira Unleashes With Terror In The Official Trailer
As horror remains the more central genre of theatrical thrills, take a gander at Juminten Edan, the latest from directing duo Dedy Mercy and Jonathan Ozoh. The first teaser trailer is now online ahead of a July 23 release in Indonesia, sampling a culmination of Mercy’s apt horror direction as well as Ozoh’s forte in stunts with credits on projects like Midnight Man, Preman, Qodrat and its sequel, and Han Jung-hoon’s Indo re-up of hit Korean series, “Bad Guys” to name a few.
Juminten (Meisya Amira) a mute woman, returns to the island where she grew up. She returns with her husband Manto (Dimas Aditya) and child Saskia (Sharon Jovian) after eight years away. Their return is warmly welcomed by her family. A long wait awaits their return.
However, this happiness is short-lived. Juminten begins to exhibit erratic behavior. Strange things begin to happen to Juminten, both consciously and unconsciously. On several occasions, Juminten has attempted to kill her husband, child, and even other close family members. Suspicions begin to arise that Juminten’s sanity is impaired by trauma from her dark past. Danger lurks not only for her immediate family, but also for the safety of the island’s residents.
Mercy produced the film, and directs with Ozoh from a script by Alim Sudio. Check out the teaser trailer:
