MASON STONE: THE PROPOSAL Engages Feature Film Development
Director Ben Whimpey’s twelve-minute action short, The Proposal, is officially off to the races in feature film development. Key core crew members are all expected to return with more on hand, joining newcome actor and martial artist Marc Natoli to reprise his role forthwith for the movie newly titled Mason Stone: The Proposal.
Natoli, who is producing the feature film through his Natoli Productions banner, carried The Proposal as Stone, a “gun for hire and all around tough customer” who finds himself battling assassins on the intended evening he’s planned to pop the big question to his girlfriend, Emma. A premiere in Sitges followed with screenings in Australia and Germany, as well as in North America in Chicago, and in Philadelphia where it won Best Action Film.
Whimpey will direct with Antonio Raiola producing for ARR Productions next to Bruise Productions’ own John Fallon who also serves as co-writer. Mason Stone: The Proposal is the latest addition to Fallon’s resumé as producer, including Paul Allica’s pending feature debut, The Siege Of Robin Hood, Gonzalo Lopez’s Dolorosa Giola, and Fallon’s own turn at the helm, Heretic.
New casting and crew additions to the feature remain pending while The Proposal short will make its case later this year online.
