Michael Fassbender Is A Dead Man Freerunning In The New Trailer For ASSASSIN'S CREED

Long since the days of early Hong Kong cinema and the more recent successes of folks like David Belle, parkour now flourishes on the big screen with an identity all its own; It depends on which examples you look at while you’re more likely to catch independently-produced videos translating the art with much grace and splendor than in big budget productions.

Still, that won’t, and shouldn’t deter efforts to do so on any scale. Parkour is an amazing art with physical feats worth an audience. The same can be said for video game adaptations and some are way more prominent than others. Well, now and thanks to the gang at 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft, the latest presentation to hit the masses with an appeal to both niches will be live-adaptation of the hit game, Assassin’s Creed, reuniting the director and stars of last year’s Shakespearean epic drama, MacBeth.

SYNOPSIS:

Fassbender hits theaters in a little over a week as Magneto in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. In the meantime, it’ll be fascinating to see how well he bodes here facing enemies as a time-hopping dual protagonist. The film’s stunt coordinator Ben Cooke has an impressive resume as well with feats seen in Thor: The Dark World, Skyfall, and in The Huntsman: Winter’s War as of recent, so if you’re familiar with the action sequences of those, you might have an idea on how blown away you might be here, on top of the performances of our cast including Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Ariane Labed, Brendan Gleeson, Khalid Abdalla and Michael K. Williams.
