MOLLY Graces The Wasteland With Survivalist Fervor In The Action-Packed International Trailer
Film duo Colinda Bongers and Thijs Meuwese prompted upworthy reactions earlier this year at Imagine Film Fest in Amsterdam with their latest directorial pairing, Molly. Actress Julie Batelaan, last seen in Meuwese’s 2012 short, Magistratus: Overtura, leads the tale set in a dystopian wasteland where a gang of marauders hunting her down to become their zombie pit fighting star ultimately force her out after kidnapping her friend.
The film is likely bound for more festival hype going into the new year but the buzz has been continuously good having been praised largely for its ingenuity as a small-budgeted thriller likened to the 2015 action comedy hit, Turbo Kid. Molly saw an initial teaser earlier this year upon events at Imagine but as of last week, the post-apocalyptic heroine is taking the stage online with an internarional trailer and if you haven’t seen it yet, you can view it below.
